Anyone can create an optimized page, but the trick is to keeping content fresh and interesting for your readers by having unique and innovative areas to focus on.

Start off by choosing a topic for your website, if you don’t already have one. What your product is will determine how difficult it will be to rank. If you are trying to sell homemade paper airplanes you will most likely have less of a struggle than trying to manufacture 747s.

Be prepared to write and re-write the content of your site on a daily basis to keep up with these franchises.

If you do choose a competitive field, be sure to hone in on a specific topic. For example, if you are starting up a financial firm. Be specific as to what type of firm. Who do you help? What are your areas of expertise? Finance is a broad term, so focus on where your product will be based, the specific services and what you can offer that differs from others. The trick to having your site rank with the best of them is to stand out from your competitors. Stay relevant to your topic but be sure to always bring something new to the table. If you keep your content updated, your SEO strategies will be more likely to succeed.
